Discarded Narratives is a project to reclaim the discarded stories and objects of the medical industrial complex.

Join the current project here.

While necessary for life, lifestyle, and institutional efficiency, single-use medical objects (pill bottles, IV bags, packaging, etc.) accumulate rapidly and have significant environmental consequences.

Our physical health and environmental health are not separate. They are reciprocal and interdependent.

Projects done under the banner of “Discarded Narratives” are designed to be interactive/activated, environmentally engaged, and collaborative, even when in-person collaboration is impossible. The first project, a bamboo garden, is set to be completed under COVID-19 quarantine in April, 2020, at the intersection of unprecedented social, environmental, and public health circumstances.
